After school guidance for primary school learners
Community Hero MR FRANS MAHLAKGANE realised that there was a need for after school guidance for primary school learners who live with elderly care givers. He established a learning foundation that operates after school. Children are motivated and assisted to do their homework and school projects. The learning foundation also helps the children to develop their reading and comprehension skills which are the foundation to all academic subjects.
Elderly parents, grandparents, caregivers and even some illiterate parents who are unable to assist their children with after school guidance are grateful for this safe and structured haven. Mohodi Village currently has over 40 learners who are off the streets, learning to research on computers, keeping up with modern technology, developing their reading skills and going to school with their homework done!
We applaud Mr Frans for helping our future leaders to grow academically! We are honored to award you with a R1000 IN-STORE VOUCHER plus a Helping Hearts Community Hero Certificate in acknowledgement of your commitment to your local community. Thank you for striving to BUILD A BETTER LIFE for your community and for South Africa!
