When disaster strikes, the support of a caring community can make all the difference. P&L Hardware was honoured to assist the Sambo family in KaMsogwaba after their home was destroyed in a devastating fire.
Following a request from Councillor D.C. Masilela, P&L Hardware conducted a site visit to assess the family's needs. The evaluation confirmed that the family of eight had lost their home and was in urgent need of assistance. With no parents in the household and no source of income, rebuilding their lives presented an enormous challenge.
Through our Corporate Social Investment (CSI) programme, P&L Hardware donated building materials to the value of R21,089.75 to help restore the family's home. The donation included essential materials such as cement, roofing sheets, timber, doors, windows, paint, glass, nails and other construction supplies needed to begin rebuilding.
The materials were handed over in February 2026, providing the family with hope and the opportunity to start again.
In a letter of appreciation, Councillor Masilela thanked P&L Hardware for its generosity, noting that the company's support had made a significant difference in the lives of the Sambo family and expressing gratitude for P&L's care and commitment to helping those in need.
At P&L Hardware, we believe that building a better life means standing alongside our communities during their most difficult moments. By helping families rebuild not only their homes but also their hope, we continue to make a meaningful difference where it matters most.
