Cashbuild has donated a tank to a local farmer. The handover occurred at Cashbuild’s Protea Glen store on the 20th of June 2022. The farm in Zuurbekom, south of Johannesburg, has employed three people. They plan to use 2 hectares of land given to them by a local farmer, and they will need to employ more people.
“I would like to thank Cashbuild for accepting my application for a water tank donation; The tank size is 2400L. The tank will make it easy for me to irrigate the 2 hectares of land where I planted vegetables; This project will help me harvest, sell and create employment in my community which is struggling with a high unemployment rate. I really appreciate the donation and am without words” Mr Ntobeko Mema, owner of the farm, expressed his gratitude to Cashbuild.
Cashbuild’s CSI Manager, Mr Thembelani Tukwayo, said, “Cashbuild is dedicated to uplifting small businesses, assisting them with the skills and materials needed to start their businesses. We believe the tank donation will make a huge difference on Ntobeko’s farm. The farm will produce vegetables.”
