The Community of Brent Park in Kroonstad has been experiencing water shortages in the last few months due to dilapidated water infrastructure. Not only does this mean there is no drinking water, but it also means the community will not have water to wash their hands regularly, as required to fight Covid-19.

Cashbuild has therefore made a donation of water tanks to this Free State community. The tanks will be placed at various community centers to enable the community to harvest rainwater to benefit the community as a whole.
The Vice-Chairperson for Brent Park Youth Initiative, Mr Ashwin Armoed, said "We are truly grateful for the donation made by Cashbuild; this donation will really make an impact in our community because water is cut off almost daily due to old pipes that burst. This is a real lifesaver, thank you, Cashbuild" Mr Thembelani Tukwayo, Head of CSI for Cashbuild, said, "We are happy to assist where we possibly can. These tanks will be one of the contributing factors to winning the fight against Covid-19 and also to ensure local livelihoods are sustained."
