Naas gets R96 000 from Cashbuild's Art-at-Heart

Eight needy schools in Naas will be given an opportunity to renovate their schools and create a learner-friendly environment for the future generation of the community.  Tindzaleni Primary School is one of the lucky schools that will be receiving a R12 000 Cashbuild building material donation.

“We are in desperate need of expanding our school and the Cashbuild building material donation could not have come at a better time,” says  Ms Nokufa Ngomane, Principal of Tinzaleni Primary School.

“We will be building three more classrooms to cater for Grade 1-Grade 3 children. Our dream of a bigger and better school is now coming true,” adds Ms Ngomane.

The donation of building materials to the value of R96 000 will be presented to the eight schools by Cashbuild at the Naas store opening ceremony on 17 April 2009. At the opening, the school children will show their appreciation by entertaining everyone with cultural dances, theatrical performances and traditional singing.

Learners from each school submitted their best artwork to Cashbuild. The artwork will be on display at the opening ceremony, and will remain on display for the next five years.

Artwork will be judged and three winners from each school will be named. Winning children will receive a Cashbuild Art-at-Heart gold, silver & bronze certificate for first, second & third place respectively. The manager’s choice award will also be presented to the lucky overall winner of the artwork competition. This award will be announced on the day and the winning learner will receive a stationery voucher and a glass trophy.
